Marine and Hydrokinetic (MHK) Energy
The natural movement of rivers and oceans (waves and currents/tides), as well as the water flowing through manmade structures, holds the potential for significant clean energy generation worldwide.
Water resources can provide energy generation that is renewable, reliable and highly predictable. And, as many MHK systems are deployed fully under water, they do not create the viewshed interruptions that arise with the construction of most energy facilities.
The links that follow provide further detail on the potential of MHK energy resources around the world and the emerging MHK industry as a whole.

Verdant Power utilizes its own expertise as well as partnering with in-country entities to conduct Resource Assessment & Feasibility Analysis (RAFA) to determine the economic viability of a potential project site. Utilizing GIS modeling techniques, Verdant Power analyzes site characteristics such as velocity, depth and topography, to understand the potential of the resource for project development. The company also uses this data to tailor its commercial standard system to optimize array performance to the specifications of a particular site.
